The business of the World Dance Sport Committe is controlled by the structure and guidelines of the WDC Ltd, which the Dance Sport Members improve and update at the annual meetings of the World Dance Sport Committee. Under the Articles of Association, Regulations and Guidelines, of the WDC Ltd, every Member is encouraged to adopt the structure of the Council and form a Dance Sport section within their organisation. The World Dance Sport Committee Register is a listing of the Dance Sport organisations and/or Dance Sport contacts in each of the Members of the Council.

The general buisness of the Dance Sport section is looked after by the Dance Sport Executive Board, (DSEB), which is elected every three years by the Dance Sport Members at the annual meeting of the World Dance Sport Committee. As a standing committee of the WDC Ltd the World Dance Sport Committee deals with, and recommends to the General Council, business improvemnets for professional Dance Sport. This involves the allocation of World and Intercontinental Dance Sport Championships and Titles and the continuous review of the Competition Rules that control them.

The General Council, at their 2005 annual meeting, accepted the presentation for the creation of a Coaches/Trainers Commission within the WDC Ltd. The appointed Mamagement Committee were introduced to see over the initial stages of this Commission, which will look after the future artistic presentation of Competitive Dancing worldwide.

The DSEB are delighted at having established a WDC World Dance Sport Series made up of the leading "Open" Professional Dance Sport events. The Series ranking is based on a points system that is rolled over from year to year.

The Rules and Guidelines of the General Council and World Dance Sport Committee require professional Adjudicators and Competitors to be registered with the WDC Ltd, via their national Member Organisation of the Council. This registration enables them to Adjudicate and Compete outside the boundaries of the country, for which they are registered. It is recommended that only correctly registered Adjudicators and Competitors, with the WDC Ltd, be invited to Adjudicate and Compete internationally.

The Dance Sport Archive of the WDC Ltd is constantly being updated with interesting information, including where possible how the nominated Adjudicators, by their country, marked the Finals with notes from the Semi-Final round at WDC Ltd World and European Dance Sport Championships. Due to unexpected mishaps at the previous Office, in London, much of this material was lost. The WDSC and the DSEB are thankful to the WDC Ltd Centre, in Bremen, Germany, for their continuous efforts in restoring this valueable information.

A filter has been built in to this Calendar for those only wishing to look for specific sections, (Standard, Latin or Other Styles).
